Kacper Abolik: Year of the Dog

Kacper Abolik is a visual reporter on our celebrity-obsessed age of information. Inspired by everything from the flow of Chinese characters, eastern ideology and spirituality, to the full gamut of 20th century artists. Kacper intertwines them with modern figures that we are all too familiar with. The notion of celebrity is undeniable to him, and his art of repurposing images will strike the viewer to take a different look at a person or work they had otherwise seen unnumberable times. Join us for our artist reception, Third Thursday, September 19th, and meet Emmaus native, Kacper Abolik and watch him live paint! Throughout the months of October and November, Kacper will be scheduling portrait sittings at The Baum School of Art. This exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. Light fare, wine and other beverages will be served. All ages are welcome!
