Community Outreach Programs

The Baum School of Art’s community outreach programs aim to reach a population that would otherwise lack the opportunity to experience and study the visual arts. Of the over 4,600 students we served in 2016-2017, 3,441 were served through some form of financial assistance, discounts, scholarships, or tuition-free outreach programs. We could not do this without the generosity of our community and philanthropic foundations. Below is a list of our main on-site outreach programs:

Offsight Community Outreach Programs

During 2016-2017, we were proud to serve an additional 1,496 students off-site through our expanded community partnerships. Through a partnership grant with the Da Vinci Science Center, we were part of the Trexler Pop-Up Maker Space Program in every fifth grade class in eight elementary schools in the Allentown School District. Additionally, we provided afterschool programs in collaboration with our following partners: Communities in Schools, the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, Roberto Clemente Charter School, and Spring Garden Elementary School in Bethlehem. Additionally, we conducted art classes throughout the school year at CAI Learning Academy in Allentown.

MAKE A MARK

Maybe you have never picked up a brush, a pastel, a stick of charcoal, or a slab of clay – or maybe you have been creating art for years. Either way, everyone can make a mark at The Baum School of Art. How will you make yours?
